The Opportunity
ANKH Executive has been exclusively retained to appoint a Senior Solutions Consultant – Trade Finance Platforms for a global financial technology organisation.
This is a high-impact presales role focused on digital trade finance solutions used by leading financial institutions and corporates worldwide.
You will operate at the intersection of sales, product, and client engagement, playing a key role in shaping complex opportunities and positioning enterprise-grade platforms across global markets.
The Mandate
You will take ownership of end-to-end presales activities across trade finance and transaction banking solutions, including:
- Leading client discovery, qualification, and solution positioning
- Delivering high-impact product demonstrations tailored to complex banking environments
- Designing solution architectures aligned to client requirements and regulatory landscapes
- Supporting strategic RFP / RFQ responses for large enterprise opportunities
- Acting as a trusted advisor in client engagements and industry discussions
- Collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Delivery, and regional stakeholders
- Contributing to go-to-market strategy and opportunity development
This role requires the ability to operate in long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions.
The Profile Sought
We are looking for a senior, client-facing presales professional with deep domain expertise in trade finance and transaction banking.
Mandatory requirement:
- Deep Trade Finance domain expertise, or at minimum extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in trade finance solutions, is essential
Additional requirements include:
- Approximately 15+ years’ experience within trade finance, transaction banking, or related financial technology domains
- Strong background in solution consulting / presales within enterprise banking platforms
- Proven experience engaging with Tier 1 / Tier 2 banks or large corporates
- Deep understanding of trade finance instruments including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Supply Chain Finance
- Experience delivering structured demos, workshops, and RFP responses
- Ability to position both on-premise platforms and cloud-based / SaaS solutions
- Comfortable operating within global, matrix environments
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to support complex deal cycles
Additional strengths:
- Exposure to digital transformation programmes within transaction banking
- Experience working across multiple regions and cultures
- Additional language capabilities such as Spanish would be an advantage
Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure
We are particularly interested in profiles with exposure to:
- Trade Finance Platforms and Transaction Banking Systems
- Digital Trade and Supply Chain Finance Solutions
- Treasury and Cash Management Platforms
- Enterprise Banking Software, both on-premise and SaaS
Typical backgrounds may include experience with organisations such as:
Surecomp, Finastra, CGI, Oracle Financial Services, Temenos, Bottomline, Volante Technologies, Intellect Design Arena, or other providers of transaction banking and trade finance solutions.
