ANKH Executive has been exclusively retained to appoint a Head of Sales – Banking & Payments Solutions for a leading global financial technology organisation. The role is based in Sydney and covers Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This position leads the Banking and Payments vertical across ANZ and reports into senior regional leadership.
The Mandate
Importantly, this is a commercially driven leadership role. The appointed leader will drive commercial growth across:
Payments
• Enterprise Payments (cross-border, high-value / high-volume bank-to-bank platforms)
• Cards & Issuing platforms
• Retail card solutions (credit, debit and prepaid)
• Acquiring (business and technology layers)
• Card Management Systems (CMS)
• Payments processing infrastructure
Core Banking
• Core Banking platforms (retail and commercial banking)
• Core modernisation programmes (including SaaS deployment models)
• Enterprise banking systems
• Complex multi-year platform replacement cycles
The role carries full ANZ revenue accountability and leadership of a solid senior sales team across Sydney and Melbourne.
Importantly, this is a commercially driven leadership role requiring direct involvement in major enterprise opportunities across Australia’s Big 4 banks, Macquarie and leading regional and community institutions.
The Profile
We seek a highly respected senior sales leader who combines domain depth with executive gravitas.
The ideal candidate:
• Possesses established executive relationships across Australia’s leading financial institutions
• Has sold enterprise-grade banking and payments platforms
• Engages confidently at CIO / COO / Board level
• Leads senior teams within global matrix structures
• Drives disciplined pipeline management and strategic account growth
Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure
Experience in solutions or services from vendors such as:
FIS, Fiserv (including CMS platforms), Worldline, ACI Worldwide, HPS (PowerCARD), BPC, OpenWay (Way4), Paymentology, Visa (including Pismo), Marqeta, Temenos, Finastra, Intellect Design Arena, Oracle Banking, TCS BaNCS, Infosys Finacle, Thought Machine, Avaloq, Sopra Banking Software, or comparable enterprise banking and payments platform providers.
