
Regional Head of Payments Sales – APAC

ANKH Executive has been retained to appoint a Regional Head of Payments Sales for a leading global financial technology organisation. The role is based in Singapore and covers ASEAN, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
This position leads the Payments vertical across the region and reports directly to the Managing Director, APAC.
The Mandate
The appointed leader will drive commercial growth across:
• Enterprise Payments (cross-border, high-value / high-volume bank-to-bank platforms)
• Cards & Issuing platforms
• Retail card solutions (credit, debit and prepaid)
• Acquiring (business and technology layers)
• Card Management Systems (CMS)
• Payments processing infrastructure
In addition, the role includes leadership of six country-based sales professionals across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
Importantly, this is a hands-on commercial position. The successful candidate will personally shape deal strategy, lead negotiations and influence complex enterprise sales cycles.
The Profile
We seek a senior payments sales leader who combines domain expertise with execution strength.
Specifically, the ideal candidate:
• Understands card issuing, acquiring and processing platforms in depth
• Has sold enterprise-grade payments solutions
• Leads regional teams within global matrix environments
• Navigates ASEAN banking and regulatory landscapes confidently
• Drives results with discipline and commercial focus
While strategic oversight is essential, the role requires direct involvement in major opportunities.
Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure
Experience in enterprise payments and card platform vendors such as:
FIS, Fiserv, Worldline, ACI Worldwide, HPS (PowerCARD), BPC, OpenWay (Way4), Paymentology, Marqeta, Visa (including Pismo), or similar providers of card issuing, acquiring, CMS and payments processing infrastructure.
